About Leo Club
There are more than 3,200 Leo Clubs organised world-wide , operating under the sponsorship of Lions Clubs. Individuals pay a one-time fee of US$2.50 upon joining. Annual dues of US$60 are billed each fiscal year to the sponsoring Lions Club's account.
Each Club has a Advisor encourages guides & aids to the Leos in every way possible. He also acts as the liaison person between Leo CLub members & sponsoring Lions Club. If the club is school-affiliated, a member of the faculty may act as Leo Advisor, working in conjunction with the sponsoring Lions Club Leo Advisor.
The first Leo Club was established in Pennysylvania in 1957 as activity of the Glenside Lions Club. Leo Clubs began to spring up throughout Pennysylvania & New York soon after & in 1968 the International Association of Lions Club's Board Of Directors voted to approve sponsoring Leo Clubs Internationally. Today, Leo Clubs are being accepted at the rate of 40 per month.
